Cool sophistication! A wonderful Art Deco design that is elegant while still embodying the geometric simplicity that characterized this design period. The Art Deco period celebrated the rise of commerce and technology and the designwork emphasized geometric shapes and intense colors. This necklace is comprised of sterling silver, dyed chrysoprase and lots of marcasite. It looks to me like the silver pendant is rhodium plated. The pendant is marked 'Sterling' but the metal is much to radiant for unplated sterling silver. The chain is also marked 'sterling'. The marcasite and rhodium plated sterling silver make this piece really sparkle! The condition is excellent with no damage to metal, chrsoprase or marcasite. No missing stones. The spring ring clasp is in excellent working condition. (Item #10090)
