Victorian Gold Filled Drop Earrings

Authentic & rare Victorian earrings! Dangle style earrings for pierced ears. The backs are posts with nuts that screw on. Once you get them on you won't lose them. The nuts are not original. I replaced these with custom made ear nuts as one ear nut was missing. The original ear nut is included in the jewelry box. The nuts have to be custom made for vintage Victorian post earrings as the posts are larger in diameter than contemporary posts on earrings. These earrings appear to be gold filled although not marked. The gold on gold filled jewelry as applied to the base metal beneath under extreme pressure which makes it much more durable that gold plated or rolled gold. Extremely Fine condition. No damage or repairs Other than one scratch through the gold to the brass on the back of one earring and the replacement of the nuts. Gift boxed. (Item #10341)

Dimensions: 3/8 inch wide at widest part of drop. 1/4 inch at top of drop tapering to 1/8 inch at tip. 7mm at front of post.
