Vintage Copper Necklace (Morley-Crimi)

Exquisite workmanship! A beautiful necklace hand wrought from copper. The style and hallmark are very similar to jewelry created during the Arts & Crafts movement (1840-1920). The emphasis was on skill of craftmanship; a reaction to the dehumanization of man by machine. This necklace is a very fine example of this type of jewelry. The clasp is the older style used prior to 1940 but I have not found any works by this designer earlier than 1950. Extremely fine condition with no damage or repairs. All parts appear to be original. The copper has aged very nicely and adds dramatic emphasis to the classic oak leaf design. Hallmarked, 'Morley-Crimi, Hand Wrought'. The clasp is the older spring ring type and in excellent working condition. Gift boxed in a black velvet jewelry box. (The box is not vintage.)
