From the 1930s, a lacey gold filigree bracelet set with a sparkling blue glass zircon stone. The prong set stone is surrounded by ribbons of gold and filigree. Open-work bracelets were very popular from the Edwardian era through the 1930s. Extremely Fine condition with no damage or repairs to the metal work. The gold wash is in remarkably good condition with the only loss of gold showing on the inside edges. The stone has two tiny flea bites, one at the top right corner and one at the bottom right corner. The stone sparkles so brilliantly that these imperfections can only be seen upon close observation with a loupe. The color of the stone is an exquisite zircon blue. (This is a blue with a hint of green.) The bracelet closes at the front with a hook. The piece in which the stone has been set is hinged at one side so that when it is unhooked, you can then swing that piece forward to remove the bracelet. Inside circumference is 7 inches. Not adjustable, so it will only fit a wrist slightly smaller than 7 inches. The band is 1/2 inch wide. The hinged piece that holds the stone is 1 inch wide by 3/4 inch high. The emerald cut stone is 5x8mm. Hallmarked, Pat 1933576 next to a W within an inverted triangle. The mark of J.J. White Mfg, Providence, RI since 1900. The patent number dates the bracelet to 1933. Gift boxed. (The box is not vintage or antique.)
