Fabulous topaz glass!! This lovely 1930's creation features five rounded triangular pieces of prong set topaz glass that are faceted on the back not the front which creates an unusual effect. The settings are open on the back to allow light to shine through. On either side of these are faceted amber glass beads that graduate in size from 10mm to 6mm. The two largest beads on either side of the triangular pieces of glass are capped on each end with gold over brass filigree. The gold has worn off in a few places on the filigree and the tarnished brass is showing through. The four, 8mm beads that follow on each side, have very nice floral, gold over brass, end caps. Again, the gold has worn off in many places allowing the brass to show through. The remaining six, 6mm beads on either side are faceted amber glass without end caps. All of the metal on this necklace is gold over brass. Choker length. Very good condition. No chips or cracks or other damage. The gold wash has worn off the brass in some places allowing the brass, which has tarnished, to show through. (Item #10011)
