Modern primitive! A most unusual hat created entirely from stiff spikey black feathers attached to a millinery base of stiff black lace net. Trimmed with a one inch wide black velvet edge and an inner hatband of black grosgrain ribbon. The feathers are very glossy and in perfect condition. One could feel comfortable wearing this creation at a gathering of the Amazon tribes or a chic cocktail party. Very clean condition with the exception of the milliner's label which is slightly soiled. The milliner's label reads Gwen Pennington Exclusive. Comes with a hatbox.(not vintage) Measures 21 inches around interior band.
