Art Deco Silver Pendant with Red Glass Jewel

Click on a thumbnail image to see enlarged images.

From the Art Deco era, a unique pendant created in a design that is quite Egyptian. Unlike most similar pendants of this era, the setting in which the glass gemstone has been placed, has a closed back. The silver that covers the back of the stone has been engraved elaborately. The pendant hangs from a sterling silver paper clip style chain. Extremely Fine condition with no damage to glass or metal. No repairs. The spring ring clasp works well but doesn't spring closed without assistance. Hallmarked, Sterling on the pendant and on the spring ring clasp. Gift boxed in a black velvet jewelry box. (box is not vintage)
