An elegant 1960s black straw hat. The straw appears to be a very fine gauge synthetic. The inside edge of the brim is lined with a beige fabric that has a slight sheen to it, like silk. A hatband and the floppy bow at the front have been created from the same fabric. Lined with black satin. Extremely Fine condition. No damage, tears or repairs. This hat does not appear to have been worn and is impeccably clean. The milliner's label reads, Joy Dorsey, New York. The hat comes with its original Joy Dorsey hatbox which is also in excellent condition. Size, Small 21 inches. The hat does fit down around the head so if your head measurement is greater than 20 inches, the hat will be snug. The hat measures 21 inches around the interior hatband. 12-1/2 inches from one side of the brim to the other.
