A luscious Christian Dior straw hat adorned with a breathtaking garden of silk flowers. The crown of this hat is completely surrounded with flowers in delicate pastel hues. The hat is created from tightly woven natural straw. Beneath the flowers, a pale yellow-green grosgrain ribbon has been wrapped around the base of the crown. This beautiful hat is in Extremely Fine condition. Very very slight fraying of the edges of the most delicate of the silk leaves and flowers. The straw is in perfect condition with no fraying edges or tears. The milliner's label shows very faint perspiration staining. The inside edge of the hat is wrapped with a wide grosgrain ribbon, the same color as that which adorns the base of the crown. This interior hatband is very lightly soiled from wear. Overall condition is most amazing. Comes with its original box, Archie Eason for Davisions and its original purchase receipt dated April 4, 1968 from Davision's. The original hang tag is also with the receipt. Measures 21 inches around the inside hatband. The brim is 14-3/4 inches in diameter. The crown rise 4 inches from base to top. Clean and sweet smelling. The milliner's label reads, Christian Dior chapeaux, Paris
